The Descenders are a group of jumpers, primarily in southern Ontario, who wish their Canadian Sport Parachuting Association affiliation to remain independent of the drop zones at which they jump. The Descenders are in favour of skydivers' freedoms. NO MANDATORY AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION DEVICES (AAD's). While we encourage AAD use, we believe that there are circumstances in which current and experienced (licenced) jumpers may wish to jump without an AAD.
